Mullion is a quaint town filled with lots of tourist attractions for those who visit Cornwall. The town has a very strong history and traditional value with many of its houses being homes for generations spanning over 2000 years. This town is visited by tourists in thousands every year and it comes as no surprise given the strength of modern amenities that have perfectly blended without marring its solid history.

The town is a hot spot among visitors who love laid back relaxing holidays where they get to enjoy delicious seafood to their hearts content as well as for those who like to roam around ancient ruins loosing themselves in times of yore.

The little town is positioned on the extreme west coastal part of Lizard Peninsula and is also the convergence point where two rivers and the sea meet together.

The positioning of the town allows for a thriving fishing industry. Its historical tracings stretch back to a time many of us cannot even begin to understand how life would have been. Visitors to Mullion are treated to the rare discovery of witnessing prehistoric ancient burial mounds, Celtic crosses and other traces of Celtic descent. It is a grand place where you can take your kids to give them the unique opportunity of having first hand experience of the prehistoric life of the mankind.

Attractions are by no means limited to historical emphasis in this beautiful town where people can walk along the streets enjoying the local delicacies spread out on restaurants, pubs and cafes while absorbing the novelty of live entertainment of a local band. The coastal setting beckons beach lovers who love being one with the nature and rocky shorelines dotted with dark looming jagged cliffs while they partake of the local hospitality offered in a variety of excellent forms from star class hotels, bed and breakfast or self catering cottages to camping facilities.

The bed and breakfast or the self catering options are perfect for those who love to enjoy their holiday in seclusion as well as experience something different from the conventional hotel accommodation arrangements.

Mullion is a perfect spot for a fishing excursion where you can hire a boat at the harbor and spend a few leisurely and calming hours fishing or boating in one of the rivers or the sea. The unloading of catchments in the busy harbor is a spectacle much enjoyed by parents and children alike. Swimming and sunbathing are some other hot pursuits among visitors in this sunny place packed with many sea side delights.
